Jim Schwarz brings over 30 years of experience working with both nonprofit and for-profit organizations. Some of his well-recognized nonprofits clients include the Ford Foundation, Microsoft Philanthropies and BoardSource. Examples of for-profit clients include BNYMellon, John Hancock RPS and Olympus Life Sciences.

Jim is a regular speaker at the BoardSource Leadership Forum, the largest gathering of nonprofit governance practitioners, and is a Senior Governance Consultant at BoardSource. He also works with corporations’ senior employees to strengthen their involvement on nonprofit boards.

He has served on numerous nonprofit boards including the American Red Cross Stamford Chapter, Soundwaters Environmental Education Center and the St. Johns Riverkeeper.

A perspective that Jim brings to consulting is looking at effectiveness through the lens of the interpersonal dynamics– trust, collaboration, communication, whether in nonprofits among board members or in sales organizations between a sales person and client.
